Which IV fluid is classified as a crystalloid solution?

Normal saline (0.9% sodium chloride) is a crystalloid solution containing electrolytes that freely diffuse across capillary membranes. Crystalloids are widely used for fluid resuscitation, dehydration, and electrolyte imbalance. Unlike colloids, they do not contain large molecules that remain in the intravascular space.
